FLY SYNTHESIS in the beginning

Fly Synthesis was established in 1985 when the development and popularisation of Ultra-lights first started taking shape. Located in the Friuli, Venezia region in the Northeast of Italy, the area has long been recognized as the historic cradle of Italian aviation. Near the factory lies the home of the famous Italian National Aerobatic team, the “Frecce Tricolori”, translated it means the “Tri-Colour Arrows”. With such a historical background it is not surprising that another great team would emerge, that of Fly Synthesis.

Since the beginning, the Company has given great emphasis in the usage of new materials and technologies for the realization of their own aeroplanes. In 1991 the firm introduced the Storch. Ahead of its time, the Storch was among the world’s first Ultra-lights to be constructed completely in composite materials and with a laminar profile wing.

It wasn’t long before the Storch became the standard for all other Ultra-lights to follow; a turning point in the future of Ultra-light designs and a far cry from the pioneering rag and tube micro-lights of the previous generation.

After years of building and proving their planes the main strength of Fly Synthesis is the continued research, development and experimentation of new technologies. Using the latest CAD software to maximise the aerodynamics of all their designs.

Currently Fly Synthesis is at the forefront in composite technologies. With long term programs and industrial know how, the company is well placed as Italy’s finest Ultra-light manufacturer. Indeed Fly Synthesis now export 80% of their production which is a credit to customer demand. To service this global demand Fly Synthesis has embarked on establishing a network of approved dealer’s whereby the customer is assured of the latest choice and excellent post sales services.

With the company’s director and president Miss Sonia Felice, a professional in marketing and business, Fly Synthesis has gone from strength to strength. A young and dynamic team of engineers and technicians dedicated to create the world’s safest and best Ultra-lights.

A team of passionate employees form the manufacturing department, each individual is dedicated to manufacturing each item with pride and perfection, some even own and fly their own planes. Perhaps that is why each aircraft is built with passion and to such a high standard.

We have all dreamt of flying, some of us are lucky enough to experience it, but how many can truly indulge in the beauty and synergy of flight combining the whole experience in synthesis.

Fly Synthesis Australia was created by Mr Caz Monteleone, the current Director, to exclusively import the beautiful and modern Fly Synthesis range from Italy. A network of dealers all over Australia and New Zealand work with Fly Synthesis Australia to make owning your own Texan, Storch, or whatever you fancy, a possibility in this part of the world. A previously unknown brand, the Fly Synthesis range can now be found in flying schools and private hangars alike in Australia and New Zealand. It is a newcomer to this market, but its growth since 2004 has been both exciting and dynamic. Its commitment to good customer service and on-going support is sure to see that trend continue.
