The new S-500 model, corresponding with the Max Take-Off Weight of 500 kg, has come with many improvements. These were professionally designed and analysed to make the Storch even better, allowing you to enjoy your flying experience as it should be enjoyed - carefree!

The new Storch S-500 revamp includes completely new carbon fibre wings with electric flaps and conventional ailerons with the benefit of increased cruise speed and a higher MTOW of 500kg. New hydraulic brakes and heavy-duty undercarriage plus full fairings and spats. Plus stainless steel firewall, mass balanced controls, manual trim and luggage compartment net.

At the request of cross country pilots the new wings have bigger fuel tanks (2 x 45 litres) and can also be refuelled in the traditional way directly into the wing tanks via flush fitting filler caps. Ordinarily the Storch refuels from its own onboard refuelling pump direct from your fuel container and this is still available as a useful option. Saves the hard work of lifting fuel containers up onto the wing. With 15 litres of fuel per hour this gives you 5.5 hours + .5 hrs reserve total endurance 6 hours for the x-country flyers.
